Tom Schwartz Says Tom Sandoval “Fully Check[ed] Out” at Work Amid Friendship Drama
Also learn more about the moment that left Sandoval feeling “betrayed” amid Vanderpump Rules Season 11 drama with Schwartz.
When it comes to the state of Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval's friendship, perhaps the latter Vanderpump Rules cast member put it best during Season 11, Episode 2 on February 6: "Things are very much not okay between Schwartz and I."
That was before the pair came face to face for the first time in a long time, though. To find out how their meeting went and where Schwartz and Sandoval left things on Vanderpump Rules, keep scrolling.
Why Tom Sandoval Was Upset with Tom Schwartz
The reason Sandoval believed his friendship with Schwartz was "not okay" actually had to do with The Valley's Jax Taylor. More specifically, as Sandoval explained in a confessional interview, "[Schwartz] just recently went on Jax's podcast and talked sh-t about me."
Cue a clip of Schwartz on said podcast telling Jax of Sandoval, "I know he's very passionate about the band, but the optics of it just look like he doesn't give a f-ck. He's living out his rockstar dream."
Sandoval's takeaway? "I feel betrayed by my friend."

Why Tom Schwartz Was Mad at Tom Sandoval
Schwartz, meanwhile, was feeling hurt himself. Speaking to Lisa Vanderpump about the state of Schwartz and Sandy's, he revealed, "We've really got it bad. We all had to clear up Tom's mess."
"We did ask Sandoval to step away from Schwartz and Sandy's ... However I didn't expect him to just fully check out," Schwartz added in a confessional. "I thought he would be more proactive in terms of pitching ideas in how to weather this."
Lisa Vanderpump's Thoughts on the Tom Sandoval Drama
Lisa had a surprising take on Schwartz's dilemma. As she explained in her own confessional, "I think it's a little unfair for Schwartz to blame Sandoval for the demise of their business. I don't think Sandoval was thinking, 'Oh, I wonder if the takings at Schwartz and Sandy's will go down because I'm shagging my partner's best friend.'"
Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval's Intense Conversation on Vanderpump Rules
When it finally came time for the Toms to meet, Sandoval kicked off the conversation with an apology. "I know there was collateral damage. I'm really sorry Schwartz," he said before justifying why he went on tour instead of sticking around to help with Schwartz and Sandy's. "I can feel that you're angry at me but obviously, I mean, I f-cking had to tour and stuff. Like, my bank account was literally overdrawn."
From there, Sandoval launched into why he was "hurt" by Jax's podcast. Schwartz, however, wasn't having it.
"I was upset because we're dealing with your sh-t show back at the bar," Schwartz said. "Like, I know we asked you to step away, you stepped away, but if I was in your situation and I realized the sh-t storm I had caused, I would've been reaching out and pitching ideas, pitching solutions."
Responded Sandoval, "If you're [gonna] be resentful, be resentful and call me a f-cking asshole and do that sh-t to my face. Don't do this backhanded sh-t."
Schwartz replied by simply telling Sandoval to "take it."
"All you should be saying is, 'I'm sorry.' That's all you need to say," Schwartz said. "I'm sorry your feelings are hurt but dude, I just are about the business that I put half a million dollars into [and] you put more into."
Sandoval ultimately apologized and insisted he does care. "I understand what I did," he concluded. "I f-cked up, it was f-cking terrible. I know I did this and I'm sorry."
