Here's Where Padma Lakshmi Thinks Top Chef Should Go Next
The Top Chef host and judge would love to see a very different location for the competition in the future.
Top Chef has been to just about every culinary capital of the United States, from New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. However, host and judge Padma Lakshmi wouldn't mind taking the competition to a very different destination in a future season of Top Chef.
While live tweeting the Top Chef Season 15 finale Thursday night, Padma was asked by one fan if the Chestestants would ever compete outside of the U.S. "I would LOVE to take @BravoTopChef abroad," Padma tweeted in response. "We have been to Singapore, Canada and Mexico but want to go back to Asia again!"
We already know where Top Chef is heading for Season 16. The culinary competition will take place in Kentucky next season. The Cheftestants are set to explore the culinary traditions of the Bluegrass State in cities like Louisville, Lexington, and Lake Cumberland.
Season 15 of Top Chef is going to be tough to beat. Though only one Cheftestant could be crowned Top Chef, they all came away as winners with friendships that will last way beyond the competition. "This season I felt the contestants were even closer than usual and were so supportive of one another," Padma shared on Twitter. "It was really great to see."
