If Vicki Gunvalson could have any super power, we imagine it would be the ability to freeze time. That's exactly what she wishes she could have done when her daughter Briana Culberson came to visit her family in Orange County, at least.
Briana, her husband Ryan Culberson, and their sons Troy, 5, and Owen, 4, recently spent a few days in Orange County with Vicki and her boyfriend, Steve Lodge, and it looked like they all had a wonderful time back together again on the West Coast. Vicki and Steve had a double date night out with Briana and Ryan, which was only to be matched in deliciousness with an "incredible" barbecue served up by Steve and Ryan.
Steve also spent some quality time "clowning" around with the boys, as well as some quieter moments reading a good book. It felt "just like old times" for Vicki. However, Steve couldn't help but notice how grown-up Troy and Owen are. "Great to have Briana, Ryan and the boys back in town for a visit," he shared on Instagram. "Wow, have the boys grown."
Briana, Ryan, Troy, and Owen left the OC to live in North Carolina in November 2017. Since then, Vicki and Briana have been able to see each other in either California or North Carolina every other month, the OG of The Real Housewives of Orange County told The Daily Dish. "I might have smashed a couple dishes on the floor," Vicki previously told The Daily Dish in July. "And then I cried and cried and cried. And then they left, and I cried and cried and cried."
However, Vicki said that she has since learned to accept her daughter's desire to start a new life for herself and her family in North Carolina. "I'm like, what part of the rule book did you not understand? You were never supposed to leave the nest [laughs]," Vicki joked. "But, you know, I have to support her, I have to love her. She's a great, great, great daughter, and I'm very blessed to have her. So I have to do this whole new thing of acceptance."
Luckily, Vicki still has her son, Michael Wolfsmith, living close by in California. The RHOC son even works with his mom at Coto Insurance and Financial Services. See how this mother-and-son team are getting along in the workplace, below.
