There’s a New Development in Shannon and John Janssen’s Relationship
The RHOC mom previously confirmed that she and her ex-boyfriend “reconnected” months after their split.
Shannon Storms Beador has made it quite clear that she and John Janssen remain on good terms.
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom returned to Instagram on Thursday, July 27, to provide a quick update on her relationship with John, the businessman she dated for more than three years. Shannon posted a photo of her and her ex-boyfriend dressed to the nines while posing together at what appeared to be a restaurant. It’s unclear when and where the picture was taken, but the OC ’Wife indicated that it was snapped either before or after they enjoyed a meal together.

“Great dinner [smiley face emoji],” Shannon captioned the post, which showed a smiling John with his arm around Shannon’s back.
Shannon and John began dating in the summer of 2019, less than two years after Shannon filed for divorce from David Beador, with whom she shares three daughters.
Shannon and John’s relationship was documented on RHOC and appeared to be going strong, which is why some Bravo viewers were shocked to learn the couple had called it quits in late 2022. The Real for Real founder opened up about the split in an exclusive interview with People magazine this year, claiming she was completely “blindsided” by the breakup.
“All I can do is repeat in my head what he said to me while we were filming,” she told the outlet. “We were in a great place. But seven days later, when the cameras were down, it was a completely different story. He told me he was done with the relationship. And to hear what he said to me then was absolutely devastating. I’ve never loved anyone more in my life. I was hopeful this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work out. I’ve never loved anyone like I’ve loved John. But clearly, he didn’t feel the same way.”

Fast-forward to the summer of 2023, when Shannon revealed she and John were back on speaking terms after months of no communication. The OC mom confirmed they had both dated other people after their breakup but decided to have dinner together once she ended her relationship with a mystery man. Since then, Shannon and John have enjoyed each other’s company on several occasions, but the ’Wife insisted their relationship was strictly platonic.
“We’re not back together, but we have spent quite a bit of time together in the last couple months. We see each other often,” she said during her July 21 appearance on Jeff Lewis’ SiriusXM radio show. “John and I both, we dated, but neither of us have been intimate with anybody other than each other… [We] have not hooked up for a long time.”
