Podcasts, Jenny Craig and More — How Brittany Cartwright Makes Her Money
Brittany Cartwright's businesses ventures span hospitality, media, and brand promotion.
Busy working mom Brittany Cartwright is a seasoned multitasker.
Expect to see her in action when her new series, The Valley, premieres on March 19, 2024. The show follows five couples, including Brittany and husband Jax Taylor, and two friends as they navigate life’s ups and downs in the L.A. community.
For Brittany, who, along with Jax, has “traded bottle service for baby bottles,” 3-year-old son Cruz is top priority. But she’s got other babies to worry about as well — her professional ventures to pamper, that is.
Before The Valley's debut, it’s a perfect time to check out all of Brittany's professional ventures.
What is Brittany Cartwright’s job?
Before gaining fame on Vanderpump Rules, Brittany, a southern belle from Kentucky, worked in an array of roles.
Like other SURvers, she modeled and she worked at the sassy chain Hooters before beginning her run on Vanderpump Rules in 2015. She helped carry the 2017 spin-off Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky before officially leaving Vanderpump Rules in 2020.

All of her experiences inform her various ventures. Besides her TV roles, Brittany’s businesses span hospitality, media, and brand ambassadorship.
Last fall, she and her husband teamed up with the owners of Rocco’s Tavern, an L.A.-area eatery, and launched their own casual sports bar, Jax’s Studio City.
Yes, of course, the couple’s Mamaw’s beer cheese is on the menu, alongside sliders, comfort eats, and specialty drinks.
Brittany handled the interior design, she said.
“It’s a little upscale bougie,” she told PEOPLE. "Because of Bravo, a lot of women will be coming in here, so we wanted it to be inviting for women and for men.”
Brittany shares another venture with her spouse: The couple’s popular podcast When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.
“Nothing is off-limits in this candid look at their real lives,” the pod promises.
Topics include parenthood, marriage, family, friendship, and reality TV. On the Jan. 26 episode, Kristen Doute, who’s on The Valley with boyfriend Luke Broderick, was on the pod to talk about birthdays and the new Bravo series, for example.
Like others, Brittany has also turned reality celebrity into a lucrative side hustle as a social media influencer — one with 1.7 million followers on Instagram.
In late 2023, she even became a brand ambassador for Jenny Craig, which she said helped her lose 30 pounds after Cruz was born.
Jax declared on House of Villains that the gig earned her $2 million, Business Insider reported.
“My wife crushes it,” Jax said.
She’ll be doing more of that in the new Bravo spin-off. Tune in to see more of Brittany and the whole cast when The Valley airs in Spring 2024.
