Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Share an Update on Their Long-Awaited Beer Cheese
The Vanderpump Rules alums shared a triumphant update on their long-in-the-works project.
On the August 3 episode of their podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright spilled some major tea — or rather, beer. “I am opening a sports bar," Jax said. "It is going to be called Jax’s Studio City. We started construction on Monday and I am really excited. We are finally going to have a neighborhood sports bar.”
Now, we have updates on the Vanderpump Rules alums' bar, and what's bound to be its star menu item. In a recent Instagram Story, Brittany shared the most deliciously cheesy news ever. "Mamaw's beer cheese is finally here!!" the Kentucky native wrote, tagging Jax's Studio City.
A photo shared a peek at said beer cheese, which has been a long time in the making. The couple originally hatched plans to sell the cheese, which is inspired by Brittany's grandma's recipe, in 2018. But from the looks of things, it was worth the wait.

In her Instagram Story, Brittany showed herself and her husband smiling in their Jax's merch in front of the venue's gleaming bar. On the table in front of them was a spread of chips and cut vegetables, with a square dish of Mamaw's Beer Cheese itself at the center of the platter.
Back in 2018, Brittany dished on the specialty food item with BravoTV.com. "[Mamaw] has her beer cheese that she’s been selling for a long time, so Jax and I are just trying to take it to the next level," Brittany shared. "So we are working with a couple different companies in LA to try to get it going and it’s gonna be on this season… Meemaw’s beer cheese. It’s gonna be up and running soon!"
What exactly is beer cheese, you ask? Most commonly found in Brittany's home state of Kentucky, it's a spread that combines a sharp cheddar cheese with beer and spices like dry mustard and horseradish. In short, "beer cheese is just so good," Brittany told BravoTV.com — but don't take her word for it!
In 2019, Andy Cohen had a chance to taste the famous cheese after Brittany brought him a sample. "Mamaw, it's the grandson you didn't know you have," Andy said in an Instagram Story after his cheesy snack. "I've got to tell you something: I love your beer cheese. It's amazing! It needs to be everywhere!"
Well, it took some time, but the beer cheese has finally landed.
