UPDATE (Sept. 27, 1:58 p.m.): In case you didn't believe Toya when she said on WWHL last year that she and Kari are still good friends, the Married to Medicine alum pops up at Toya's Paint and Sip birthday party in Sunday night's episode at 9/8c.
Since we originally published this post in February 2018, Kari has continued to keep busy, getting in some family time as her kids continue to grow up, celebrating her 17th wedding anniversary, doing some major traveling, hanging with friends, and looking fabulous while doing it all. We particularly love the sassy photos of her cat.
The original story continues below.
It's like we always say: Once a member of the Married to Medicine crew, always a member of the Married to Medicine crew.
That's definitely the case for Season 1 cast member Kari Wells who not only pops up on Married to Medicine every now and then, but she's also still tight with Toya Bush-Harris. "Absolutely," Toya said when asked if she still sees Kari around Atlanta during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show on Thursday, February 22 (clip above). "First of all, me and Kari are really friends, and the reality is I miss Kari. That was the first person I did [WWHL] with."
Even the newest member of the squad, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, has gotten to know Kari. "We go to the same gym. I see her all the time," she said on the WWHL After Show.
Kari has kept plenty busy since we last saw her on Married to Medicine. She's done a ton of traveling and even wrote "a romantic travel book based on my life and the places I have visited," she told Bravotv.com in 2015. She also got a new agent and appeared on the TV series The Haves and the Have Nots, as well as took part in other movie and TV projects.
Kari also opened up about her unfortunate experience with identity theft last year.
When Kari isn't spending time with her family or doing some philanthropy, you can probably find her at the yoga studio.
