Will Andy Cohen Have More Children Following the Birth of His Son?
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host and new dad got personal about his family plans during his baby shower.
Prior to the birth of his son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, on Monday, February 4, Andy Cohen had already made a few decisions about his future as a father, and he shared some of these with the partygoers at his epic baby shower in late January. He previously explained to The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Nene Leakes why he decided against having twins, saying, "I thought about it a lot and I just decided I would rather get really good at having one kid and then see if I could have another one. It seemed like a little too much for me." But does that mean the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host is ruling out having more children in the future?
Not so fast. Andy explained his plans during a special episode of Radio Andy, Andy's Baby Shower when The Real Housewives of Orange County's Tamra Judge posed an important question.
"Do you think you're going to do this again?" she asked.
"You know what, Tamra, I grew up with a sister and two parents ... my parents were always around; it was a very nice upbringing in the suburbs of St. Louis and I loved being able to hang out with my sister. We were like a little team. So the answer is I'm really praying that I have the strength and fortitude to do it again," Andy responded. Exciting!
The topic came up again later in a conversation between Andy, bestie John Mayer, and Nene.
"So Andy, question for you: Will you have another baby?" Nene asked.
"I would like to," Andy said, echoing his sentiment from earlier. "I would like to, but I don't know if I'll have the strength to do it. I hope I do."
Mayer got even deeper, asking: "If you had a second baby, would it be from the same source?"
"Yes," Andy replied. So there you have it! Stay tuned in a year or so and watch what happens.
