When The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels gave her opinion of the Keto diet — calling it a "bad plan" — she probably didn't expect to set off such ripples. Not only did Andy Cohen retort that Michaels herself is a "bad idea," (and yes, there's a little backstory there), but anchor Al Roker has had his feathers ruffled as well.
The TODAY personality, who's lost weight over the years using gastric bypass surgery and diet techniques, and tweeted this upon hearing Michaels' remarks: "So [Jillian Michaels] says #Keto is a bad idea. This from a woman who promoted on-camera bullying, deprivation, manipulation and more weekly in the name of weight loss. Now those sound like bad ideas." Yikes!
That wasn't Roker's only pro-Keto tweet. After a follower tweeted at him with some thoughts on the diet, writing: "[Keto] is bad for breath, bad for liver just two of the negative effects," Roker fired back once again. He wrote: "That's right. My choice. What works for me, may not for others."
Later, when another follower wrote in to suggest that Michaels may be able to offer weight-loss ideas that are easier for "the masses" to replicate than Roker's diet, the anchor responded again with: "Their choice." Fair enough!

And the Keto controversy is burning as hot as ever. Here's who's sounded off so far:
