Jersey Shore's Vinny Guadagnino Is Calling Himself "Keto Guido" After Losing 50 Pounds

"I've discovered the fountain of youth," says the rejuvenated reality star after success with the keto diet.

After appearing on Jersey Shore, Vinny Guadagnino traveled the country with his mother for a Cooking Channel show called Vinny & Ma Eat America, and he gained more than a little bit of weight. Now, the reality star has shed 50 pounds thanks to following the basic principles of the ketogenic (or keto) diet, a celeb favorite that excludes sugar and grains and is high in fat, low in carbs and moderate in protein. He's now calling himself Keto Guido because that's totally adorable.

“I’ve discovered the fountain of youth,” he wrote on an Instagram post with a shirtless selfie.

"You ready for it? Stop eating sugars and grains and instead 98% of the time eat real food like whole eggs, bacon, butter, fatty steaks, fatty fish and plants and exercise a few times a week. When I ate sugars and grains I was 50 lbs heavier and looked 10 years older."

His Instagram feed is a great place to get inspiration on ketogenic meals that also look filling and delicious.

He also shows how he quells cravings for what he calls "naughty" foods like tacos without straying too far from the core principles.

Raise a fist pump to Vinny for figuring out how to make a healthy transformation while not sacrificing the pursuit of flavor!
