We Barely Recognized Kandi Burruss in Her Jaw-Dropping “Cotton Kandi” Costume

If there’s one thing The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans can count on, it’s Kandi Burruss delivering an utterly epic Halloween costume. Last year, the Bedroom Kandi CEO went full-on Disney villain with her own spin on Cruella de Vil, rocking a leathery bodysuit with a jagged mesh panel and faux-fur shoulders dotted with Dalmatian spots. 

This year, the Georgia native delivered yet again with an unbelievable transformation into “Cotton Kandi,” rocking a fluffy pink ensemble resembling the sugary confection and covered in pink makeup. In her various photos and videos shared to her Instagram on October 31, Kandi detailed the process that went into the elaborate look, which included help from an expert team, including makeup artist Lah Luvie, hairstylist Devonte Averett (with help from Sew Jodie), nail artist Imnails Noir, digital creator Hause of Glam, photographer @MorrisDe/DeMorris Marable, and director Derek Blanks. 

One video showed the stunning dimension of the pink, purple, and magenta tones in her makeup as well as the pearl and jewel embellishments on her face, which provided an additional pop. While embodying the “Cotton Kandi” character whose “sweet tooth” left her with a particular craving, Kandi picked out 6-year-old son Ace (dressed as gummy worms) and 2-year-old daughter Blaze (also dressed as cotton candy) from her bucket of treats. 

In an additional video, Kandi showed off a slew of different candy-colored outfits (with help from stylist Assad Tyler), including a short, fluffy blue minidress with sky-high silver platform heels. The songwriter then rocked a hot pink velour two-piece bikini, oversize sun hat, and pastel pink platform Mary Jane heels, pulling her long platinum blonde ’do back into a sleek ponytail. 

“It’s like Kandi!!!!!” the mom of three captioned the post. “[Cotton Kandi] is a whole vibe!”
