This Throwback Pic of Kandi Burruss in a Blinged-Out Halter Top Is 2000s Greatness

Before her days on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss spent plenty of time touring across the country as a member of Xscape and as a solo artist⁠ ⁠— and she had an incredible pop star-worthy wardrobe to match. Kandi recently gave us a peek into her past touring days with an epic throwback photo, and everything about her look spews 2000s greatness.    

Bright-faced and posing with two of her backup dancers, Kandi looked every bit an R&B superstar. The ATL singer showed off her six-pack abs in a white studded halter top. (Were you even a true pop star if you didn't grace the stage in one of these?) Naturally, Kandi paired the revealing top with matching white pants, which she accessorized with a super blinged-out belt (a defining accessory of the era) and hoop earrings. Lastly, she topped off her look with a glossy berry lip and a sculptural updo giving off Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes vibes.

Kandi's backup dancers also made sure to represent for their leading lady with loose-fitted tank tops emblazoned with photos of Kandi.  

"Here’s a #TBT from 2000. My girls @jamaicacraft & @shanellyoungmoney were dancing for me on tour promoting [Don't Think I'm Not.] We’ve all come so far since then," she captioned the pic.
