Now We Know the Natural Texture of Dorit Kemsley's Hair
Dorit's hairstylist, Justine Marjan, spills The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills designer's hair secrets.
A true hairstyle chameleon, Dorit Kemsley never wears the same coif twice. From her edgy reunion 'do that had dozens of Bobby pins to an artfully twisted ombre bun, the swimwear designer always keeps things fresh. And if you've ever wondered where her hairstylist looks for inspiration, now we have some insight.
Dorit's stylist Justine Marjan recently spoke to Page Six about how much buzz her client's ever-changing looks create. "I love it! It’s so fun that hair can spark up such a conversation," she said. Marjan went on to name two styles she was particularly fond of, and describe the inspiration behind each.
First up: Those wet waves Dorit wore in the Bahamas, which were clipped back with a Zeus barrette. "I love [Dorit's] hair curly (it’s her natural texture), and the wet texture was so perfect for the humid environment in the Bahamas,” the stylist said. “I used a ton of Hidden Crown clips-ins, which gave the hair amazing fullness. She looked like a modern mermaid straight of the ocean.”
Of course, no convo about Dorit's hair would be complete without a look back at that solid-gold style she wore to Lisa Vanderpump's Diamonds and Rosé party in Season 7. The look, Marjan said, was actually inspired by a Topshop fashion show that took place in London in 2011.
"Dorit is a fashion chameleon and is always willing to take a risk! I love that she trusts me to give her new hairstyles," she added. So, would The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills beauty ever try out a new hair color? “You never know!”
