Everyone loves before and after beauty photos, but Cary Deuber is fascinated with the in-between. After subjecting her face to a laser treatment — something she does regularly, since she works at a laser center— Cary hops on Instagram to show the immediate after-effects. Unafraid of swelling and undaunted by redness, the beauty expert uses her feed to educate followers about various procedures. And in her recent posts, The Real Housewives of Dallas alum is dishing about Halo Fusion and Profound RF.

In an Instagram Story from January 12, Cary — still swollen from the procedure — looked straight at the camera and said: "OK, so, I obviously had a laser. And people are always like, oh, you do so much to your face. Actually, no. I do [laser.]" She added, "I look like a toad. I looked like Shrek yesterday."

But by the next day, Cary had a sunnier forecast. "All right, day three, post Halo Infusion and Profound," she shared. "I'm healing! I'm still very swollen, but I'm healing. I can't wait to see the results." And what might those results be?

"Profound is like a facelift, but noninvasive, so nonsurgical," Cary explained. "So, nonsurgical facelift, so basically what it's gonna do is just kind of lift and tighten everything, and make your body build more collagen. And then of course the Halo gets rid of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, and that kind of thing. [It also helps] texture and pores. So, I'm super excited!" (Devoted Cary fans will know that she gets the Halo procedure about once a year.)

And while she waits for the swelling to go down, Cary is content to "laser and chill." Holding an icepack to her face in a January 13 Instagram snap, the Dallas mom wrote, "No pain, but my skin feels warm and a little sensitive after gently washing. Ice is soothing & relaxing while my cheek swelling goes down."
