Chanel Ayan Reveals What Happened to the Goat After It Wandered Off Lesa’s Property
The Real Housewives of Dubai supermodel gave an update on what happened to her wild hostess gift.
On the June 8 episode of The Real Housewives of Dubai, Chanel Ayan arrived at Lesa Milan’s Thanksgiving dinner with a very surprising gift for the host. As viewers saw, it was a rather large and loud offering: a live goat. Lesa’s response: “What is that?”
“In Jamaica, this animal would definitely be in somebody’s pot,” the Mina Roe founder explained in an interview. “We could curry it, mannish water it, goat head soup it, all of that. But we’re in Dubai, girl, what do you think I’m going to do with this goat besides my kids making him or her a pet?”
Of course, Ayan had an explanation for the unusual present. “The reason why I brought you a goat is, in Kenya, if somebody shows you love and you invite my family to your house, you give them something that is so special to you,” she said. “So in our culture, goats are so important. When you get married you get goats, when you get engaged you get goats, and you are there for me so much a few nights ago when I was in a bad place, and I told Chris and Taj, I’m like, ‘What can I get this girl that I think matters so much to my soul?’ So I was like, ‘the goat.’”
The same night the show aired, Ayan appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The titular host had Ayan explain more about her unique gift. “What made you bring the goat?” Andy Cohen asked, to which Ayan responded, “A goat is very symbolizing of love.”
“And what happened to the goat?” Andy continued. “Did it make its way back to Lesa’s house?”
While Ayan remained tight-lipped on the goat’s full story, she did reveal, “Yes, it got lost and then Lesa found it.”
“We will be seeing more of the goat this season,” Andy teased.
