We all remember the scene from The Real Housewives of New York City when Dorinda Medley “saved Christmas” for Bethenny Frankel (and her besotted daughter Bryn) by securing a life-size nutcracker for their apartment. (Don't remember it? Watch the video above!) Well, nearly two years later that oversized decoration is still playing a role in Bethenny’s holidays, as she shared with her followers on Instagram. Visiting her Hamptons home for the weekend to get the house holiday-ready, Bethenny showed off all of the over-the-top decorations — like the three humongous outdoor inflatables—that she and her boyfriend Paul Bernon were busy getting ready… much to the delight of Bryn. “We only here once before Christmas after this, so we getting ready early…” she shared.
Inside, Bethenny set up a gorgeous all-red tree (a subtle nod to her Skinnygirl brand color) and the stockings on the mantle, but the tour de force is still certainly that humongous nutcracker. Scandal aside — you’ll remember Dorinda didn’t feel Bethenny was grateful enough for the gift — the nutcracker has survived a trip out to Long Island from New York City and appears no worse for the wear.
