Did Sonja Morgan Ever End up Getting Curtains?
The Real Housewives of New York City designer dishes on the state of her windows.
One of the highlights of this season of The Real Housewives of New York City— so far! — has certainly been watching Sonja Morgan and her assistant tape her monogrammed towels to her bedroom windows before she had a rendezvous there later that evening. Classic Sonja!
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last night, a viewer inquired whether she had ever put in curtains. “Yes, but I didn’t want to rush into it,” Sonja explained. “So I duct taped up the towels in the meantime.” (Watch the entire clip in the video above!)
The whole situation left Sonja’s WWHL co-guest, Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski, totally gobsmacked. When he asked Sonja to clarify, she added, “Well, it’s classy, I have a monogram! And it’s practical. I cook in a toaster oven, I use Sharpie markers — I’m a practical woman.”
Let it be known: Sonja Morgan is a practical woman if nothing else!
While chatting with Home & Design recently, Sonja added that she actually didn’t get curtains, but opted for electric blinds instead. “The [windows] are white lacquer, and to cover them with curtains would have been a sin so we did the electric blinds from New York City Blinds,” she told us, “and then I got the Citi Quiet Windows to sound-proof the Columbus Circle noise."
Well, there we have it, folks. The days of duct-taped towel windows are sadly over. Sounds like Sonja found herself a high-tech solution, and we can’t wait to see the finished product!
(Tune into RHONY on Wednesdays at 9/8c and WWHL Sunday through Thursday at 11/10c!)
