Kelly Killoren Bensimon Launches New Fashion Collaboration
The Real Housewives of New York City alum has a new shearling-based line.
Kelly Killoren Bensimon is going straight from wearing tiny leopard print bikinis to dressing almost head to toe in fur. The Real Housewives of New York City alum just released her latest collaboration with fur atelier, Pologeorgis, her second with the brand.
This former top model is modeling the shearling-lined aviator jackets, camo jackets trimmed with raccoon fur, and dusty pink shearling bombers. In the line, there are $1,175 rabbit fur sweatshirts and $495 rabbit fur fannypacks too.
Not surprisingly, this fur collab was more controversial than Kelly's previous design efforts. Although plenty of comments on Kelly's Instagram praised her modeling skills, she's facing some pushback by Instagrammers over the use of real fur. Some wished the items were faux fur, and others spoke out about the cruelty in the fur trade. A few wondered why Kelly would endorse real fur when the trend in luxury fashion houses is to go fur-free: Balmain recently joined Prada, Tom Ford, Versace, Gucci, and Michael Kors in pledging to stop killing animals to use their fur in designs. Kelly hasn't responded to any of anti-fur comments on Instagram yet.
