Gretchen Rossi Shares a Cheeky Bikini Snap and Breaks Down Her Fitness Routine
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's sharing her secrets (and keeping it real).
Like so many Bravolebs, Gretchen Rossi spent the Fourth of July holiday in a patriotic bikini. But The Real Housewives of Orange County alum loves to take her fans behind the scenes — she actually livestreamed her microblading session this spring on Instagram, after all. So after seeing the response to her Independence Day bikini Instagram photo, Gretchen decided to share exactly how she stays so fit by writing all her tips and tricks down in a blog post.
First things first, Gretchen is keeping it real. "I gained 10lbs doing two rounds of IVF back to back so maybe a little more meat on my bones is doing a body good," she writes. "It took 922,000 pictures and 900 different angles (lol) to get some pictures that I actually liked." Of course, she posts the best of the best photos, and Gretchen stresses not to compare yourself to anyone's Instagram highlight reel.
"I have a professional camera, with amazing lighting, and soft skin effect, that helps camouflage my imperfections! I DO have cellulite and parts of my body that don’t look good if taken in the wrong lighting or angle (obviously I don’t post those)," she says. "So please don’t beat yourself up for looking at others pictures on Instagram. I happen to take a lot of pictures for my business and therefore know a lot about lighting and angles to get a good pic."
It sounds like Gretchen works hard at staying in shape: she's a foodie but she watches what she eats, writing: "My daily meals consists of lean protein, vegetables, and salads." She works out with weights and exercise bands three to four times a week, and she has an easy commute to the gym since she set up a workout area in her garage. "I typically do about 40 minutes to an hour of weights and floor exercises, which includes sit-ups, push-ups, leg work, booty work, and 10-15lb weights for my arm exercises," Gretchen writes.
You can read more about her routine on her blog, including the top-secret squat product she's currently working on and hopes to reveal soon. In the meantime, here's Gretchen's very relatable fitness motto: "Remember don’t beat yourself up, do a little bit each day and set small goals so you don’t fail."
