Briana's Special Moment

Vicki reflects on her grandson and explains why she had her face done.

By Vicki Gunvalson

Welcome back to The Real Housewives of Orange County. I think it's going to be a great season.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

As I watched tonight's episode, it made me cry watching little Troy be born again. It was one of those "life's moments" that I will never forget and I thank Ryan and Briana so much for allowing me to be part of their special moment.

Troy is six months old now and is a beautiful little boy. He is almost crawling and is a sweet tempered baby. Ryan was deployed two weeks ago, and it was very hard for Briana to see him leave. I've attached a few pictures from the morning that he embarked to Afghanistan. Please keep him in your prayers.

In between Season 7 and the start of Season 8's filming, I decided to visit my doctor to see what he could do to improve my looks. I felt very self-conscious about my nose after all the negative comments referencing that I looked like Miss Piggy. Although I never really thought I looked like her, I felt that maybe some "tweaking" of my nose would enhance my looks. I guess a common procedure when a nose is operated on is to do a chin implant to help balance the face. I authorized the doctor to do what he felt necessary to make me look my best.

When we started filming Season 8, it was only two weeks after the surgery and I was really swollen. I was very nervous about seeing the ladies because I knew I was going to be talked about and made fun of. I felt the best way to deal with it was "head on" and disclose what I did in hopes they would move past it. After a few more weeks of healing, they did move on and it wasn't a topic of conversation anymore. My hope is that throughout this season, you will see an improvement and like the subtle difference in my face. I am very happy with the results.

As we open our lives up once more for the viewers to take a sneak peak into our families and businesses, we hope you enjoy this season. There will be a lot of tears, laughter, and drama, of course, and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Thank you to those who have been a loyal viewer for eight seasons. We wouldn't be here without you.
