We're Obsessed With the Surprising Gift Heather Gay Brought to Meredith Marks' Jewelry Launch
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member's present elicited a gleeful reaction from Meredith.
On Season 4, Episode 12 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which aired on November 28, Meredith Marks invited the ladies to the launch of her new jewelry line, Plated by Meredith Marks.
"Tonight is the soft introduction to the collection Plated by Meredith Marks," she shared in an interview. "'Plated' is supposed to be fun, it's supposed to be affordable, it's supposed to be for people who maybe can't afford to buy the fine jewelry. I want to see how it's received by the people I know and love before I put it out into the universe for everybody."
For the occasion, Heather Gay, who arrived to the party with Monica Garcia, was sure to bring a special gift to celebrate her friend. The gift in question? Well, leave it to Heather to bring something thoughtful and kind of hilarious.

What did Heather Gay bring to Meredith Marks' jewelry launch party?
When Heather entered Meredith's party with her castmate, Monica Garcia, they of course looked fabulous in some beautiful looks. While Heather rocked a ruched fabric long-sleeved top, a matching pencil maxi skirt, and silver pointed-toe heels, Monica, for her part, paired strappy black heels with a long-sleeved satin black dress.
When the pair gave their congratulations to Meredith (who shone bright in a canary yellow dress and silver metallic belt), Heather offered up her gift: the butter Meredith was trying to "churn" during the gals' pioneer-inspired get-together on Episode 11, which aired on November 21.
"What is that?" Meredith asked before realizing what Heather had brought. "Oh, butter!"
Prompted by Meredith's squealing with delight, Heather quipped, "I knew you'd be excited...I didn't think you'd be that excited!"

Meredith Marks shares the details of her jewelry business
In 2021, Meredith opened up to Bravo Insider to discuss her process behind her jewelry line, explaining how all of her pieces "are inspired from all aspects" of her life.
“I love modern designs with statement pieces using a variety of diamonds and colored stones. I also love pieces that incorporate negative space, versatility, and functionality,” she shared at the time. “I have a patented clasp that allows versatility by being able to take a pendant and clasp it on a ring shank, or a cuff to wear it as a cuff or ring. I also have many double-sided pieces allowing pieces to be multi-function with different looks.”
Additionally, when Meredith stopped by Bravo HQ in September, she revealed a deeply personal story about her background that prompted her focus on the sphere of jewelry design.
"I started undergrad as a fine arts major and then I switched because I didn't know what I would really end up doing for a living in the fine arts space," she shared, noting that she then switched to business school and opening a "progressive gym" in Chicago with her husband, Seth Marks.
Then, one morning, while dropping off her oldest son, Reid, something traumatic happened. "I was mugged one morning [...] on a very safe street and 9 a.m. where you think that would never happen," she stated. "It was a very aggressive situation and I was somewhat traumatized and kind of questioning everything in life. And I thought, you know what? I don't want to do anything I'm doing."
The mom of three revealed that after joining her husband on a business trip to India and Hong Kong, she realized her true calling and was motivated to finally start a jewelry line. "I took classes at the GIA, Gemological Institute of America, and dove in headfirst," she shared.
