Padma Lakshmi Cooked a Gorgeous Meal for a Mystery Guest: "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?"
Top Chef fans will definitely recognize Padma's very special guest.
Padma Lakshmi recently hosted a dinner party, and took fans inside her gorgeous kitchen as she whipped up a homemade menu for the event. As she stood over a pan of sizzling pancetta, the judge of Bravo's Top Chef judge teasingly announced: "I'm cooking a special meal for a very special guest — or two. Guess who's coming to dinner?"
Before we had a chance to guess, Padma distracted us with another tantalizing peek at that night's eats. Seriously, who doesn't love purple potatoes cooked stovetop? But before long, the new MAC collaborator revealed her first guest.
Sitting at Padma's kitchen counter was her first (but not only!) guest, Brian J. Moylan, the Vulture writer who helped Erika Girardi pen her memoir Pretty Mess.
And later, Padma revealed her second guest. It was none other than Top Chef Season 15 contestant Fatima Ali, who recently triumphed over cancer and made an appearance at the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival.
"My fave face," Padma wrote, to caption a sweet photo of herself looking adoringly at her friend Fatima.
Now that's what we call a party.
