Padma Lakshmi Escapes to the Kitchen for This "Peaceful" Holiday Tradition with Her Daughter
The Bravo's Top Chef judge makes holiday cookies with her daughter and — no surprise here — they're gorgeous.
This holiday season, there's no cozier (or sweeter!) place to be than Padma Lakshmi's kitchen. The Bravo's Top Chef judge is partaking in a delicious holiday tradition by baking up batches of homemade cookies with her daughter. But of course, since this Padma's house, the cookies are eye candy of the highest degree.
On December 9, the food expert posted a visual Christmas treat for her followers. "Hard at work with [my daughter] decorating Xmas cookies," Padma wrote. "Such a peaceful day with my [love.]" The photos show heartwarming moments from the sugar-and-butter-filled day, and we only wish we could transport ourselves to the New York kitchen.
In one image, Padma's mini-me is studiously bent over a holiday treat, decorating it with care. In the next photo, a batch of beautiful treats come in shapes and sizes as diverse as snowflakes themselves, and with bright decorations including sprinkles and stars.
But the piece de resistance, if you ask us, is the last photo. In it, Padma and her daughter sit by side, lovingly adorning their handmade treats. Keep scrolling to see the sweet family photos — and to get inspired for your own baking fest.
Looks like Padma has found that holiday joy after her post-Thanksgiving blues — and Santa's definitely going to want to scoot down this chimney for treats.
