UPDATE (Dec. 20, 2017, 4:00pm)The bunny is getting better everyday!

A California driver who pulled over on a wildfire-licked freeway in Ventura County to rescue a wild rabbit and went viral has finally been identified. Inside Edition reported that an imposter came forward last Friday to claim credit, but the real driver seen in the video is 21-year-old Caleb Wadman, who appeared on the program with his mother.

"In the video that everybody sees, I was going crazy because she was screaming," he said

The Wadmans took cameras to visit the rabbit at California Wildlife Center, where she's being treated for ear and feet burns. If she's got a name, it hasn't been shared publicly, but she's on the mend.
