Stassi Schroeder Goes Makeup Free to Let Psoriasis Sufferers Know "You Ain't Alone"
The Vanderpump Rules beauty got candid about her struggle: "Sh-t sucks."
Whether she’s sharing an embarrassing side effect of her chin implant, or giving her fellow Vanderpump Rules pals style advice, Stassi Schroeder has no problem telling it like it is. Since hitting our TV screens in 2013, the L.A. fashionista has been an open book with the public — especially when it comes to her struggle with Psoriasis.
Over the past few years, Stassi has publicly shared her battle with the skin condition in hopes of empowering others also dealing with it. Wednesday evening, the beauty gave fans a very raw look at the effects of psoriasis on Instagram. In the live video, Stassi points out how a recent flare-up from the condition has covered the majority of her face.
"This psoriasis situation is not on fleek," she said in the post. "If anybody else suffers from this and gets it on their face, I'm with you."
The message of "knowing that you're not alone" is one that the former SURver is constantly tyring to promote on her podcast Straight Up with Stassi and on social media. She’s even revealed the exact foundation she uses to help cover up her visible red patches.
"I don't like when women feel insecure, and I don't want them to ever look at me and feel that way so that's why if I need to talk about my psoriasis or the fact that I'm wearing pairs of spanx, fine,” she told The Daily Dish in an interview.
