Tom Schwartz Responds to Katie Maloney Saying He Looks "Like a Couch" at BravoCon 2023
The Vanderpump Rules cast member had a change of wardrobe plans after getting some fashion feedback from his ex-wife at BravoCon 2023.
BravoCon 2023 is officially underway—and already, plenty of style statements have been made. We've seen everything from a sheer, lacy dress to skintight silver pants and a feathery yellow top. And if you ask Katie Maloney, there's also been one fashion moment that evokes a living room fixture.
During a Winter House panel discussion held on November 3, Tom Schwartz was asked about the most shocking thing that had taken place during the Vanderpump Rules panel discussion, which had occurred earlier that day. "Katie told me I look like a couch!" Tom shared.
He went on to say that the couch comment might have been provoked by the jacket he was wearing during the Vanderpump Rules panel, so he took it off for his later appearance. By the time he joined the rest of the Winter House Season 3 cast onstage, he was wearing a long-sleeved black top with matching pants. And though he was sitting on a couch, he did not resemble one.

Take a look at Tom's outfit with the now-famous jacket here. It has a bright, bold pattern — and whether said print works better in a living room or on a restaurateur, we can't say! It certainly brings a little something to the BravoCon stage.
Though Tom had joked that the couch comment was the juiciest thing that happened on the Vanderpump Rules panel, there was a bit more tea spilled throughout the day. For one thing, we got an update on Schwartz's relationship with his business partner, Tom Sandoval, from Sandoval himself.
Fans of Vanderpump Rules already know that Sandoval and Schwartz's friendship suffered after the events of Season 10. But faced with a request for a status update ahead of Vanderpump Rules Season 11 on a BravoCon 2023 panel, Sandoval said, “We’re doing really well.”
“Considering, I mean, I definitely put him through a lot," he continued. "You know, [he] got a lot of residual hate just from me, you know what I mean?”
Earlier in the day, at another BravoCon panel, Sandoval faced the same subject. “I feel like it’s definitely gotten better," he said of the friendship. "Obviously, we went through tough times because of me, and he dealt with a lot of residual negativity, and I really appreciate [him] sticking by.”
Later on, Sandoval shared: "We've always had a resilient friendship and a loving, caring friendship and yeah, we're in a good place.”
