Craig Conover Shares a Relationship Update

Since starting their long-distance relationship in the fall of 2021, Craig and Paige have gone back and forth about what their next steps will be.

The couple compromised during the Summer House Season 7 finale by deciding to spend more time together in either Charleston or New York City when their schedules permit. Fast-forward to September 2023, and Craig has revealed that the two still aren't in a rush to make any permanent decisions in their living arrangement, or in their relationship status. 

"I think I had a lot more growing up to do than I realized," he told Entertainment Tonight about why he is no longer putting a timeline on proposing. "I've only ever had rom-coms to base relationships off of, you know? You start dating, there's a conflict, and it works out and you get engaged, and everyone lives happily ever after. I've learned that that's not the case."

Though he's not planning to pop the question by Thanksgiving 2023 anymore (which is what he said when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in October 2022), he still is looking forward to the day when he does propose. 

"You can either have the quick excitement, fairy-tale romance or you can focus on this sustainable relationship," Craig said about wanting to have a strong foundation in his relationship before popping the question, adding that "[Paige] has definitely slowed me down in those points."

"Look, I'm a romantic at heart. I can't wait for that day," he added. "I think me working on myself has really helped me see the relationship in a clearer way, so I think we're closer."

Working on himself, he said, has involved "cutting [his] drinking [and] trying to get healthy" so he can one day be the "father of someone's child" one day instead of just a "fun boyfriend."

Paige DeSorbo Reacts to Craig Conover's Latest Wedding Comment

In a preview for Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 6 (which you can check out at the top of this post), Craig, Madison, and Paige discuss the latest drama in Charleston.

While reflecting on Madison's post-wedding celebration with the crew, the Southern belle joked that Craig "pretty much already booked [her] wedding planner" for a potential union between him and Paige.

Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo's Drama on Southern Charm Season 9

Paige and Craig are in a "good place" in their relationship today as the Charleston resident shared on a September episode of WWHL, but viewers will get to see some "conflicts" between the two on Southern Charm Season 9. 

Per a press release for the season, Craig is in a bit of a "dating limbo" as he works on finishing the construction on his house while Paige remains in the Big Apple.
