All About Dorit Kemsley’s Stunning Brown Hair and Style Evolution Through the Years
Her recent transformation from blonde to brunette proves the RHOBH cast member is a true chameleon.
Dorit Kemsley has a knack for fashion, and she always makes sure she has “a little extra, a little over-the-top” hairstyle to match. “I’m not exactly known for my subtleties,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member joked in the clip above, explaining that her hair looks are always influenced by her outfits.
“Justine Marjan, who is behind most of my hair looks, her and I, we collab really well together. She’s known me a while and I know her capabilities, so it’s a lot of fun to show her an outfit that I’m wearing and then her and I talk about it,” Dorit explained. “Very rarely am I like ‘No.’”
Still, she has her limits. “I definitely work within the parameters of who I think I am, and I think there’s some outlandish styles [that] wouldn’t fit me,” she noted. “Yes, I’ve done some crazy things with my hair but it always — for me, anyway — fits within my personality.”

In February 2023, Dorit debuted a stunning darker hairstyle on Instagram. “Love my new hair,” she captioned a photo which showed off her long, straight brunette locks.
“I just felt like I needed change. Being a blonde, it’s very high-maintenance,” she told Page Six Style in an interview published in April 2023 of the hair color that fans got to see more of in RHOBH Season 13. “And I’m so high-maintenance as it is, I just feel like my hair should not be as high-maintenance!”
Her comments got misinterpreted, though, and people thought this meant she couldn’t afford the regular dye jobs of keeping her hair blonde. During Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion, Dorit clarified: "Nobody is going to put me on a budget."
"One has nothing to do with the other," she continued. "The dark hair, I was ready for a change... The brown hair was just a choice. I'm not on a budget by my husband."

With Justine Marjan in charge of her tresses, Dorit’s Season 10 silver chain mail reunion look was complete with a work-of-art hairstyle.
The “regal” updo, as Marjan dubbed it, included sculptural braids that were interwoven and visible from the front.

Later, in Season 10, she looked back on that cut. “I really loved when I went super short,” she told BravoTV.com. “I did cut my hair short, but then I went even shorter and people couldn’t really understand: ‘Is your hair really that short, or is it a little longer?’”
