The RHONJ Cast Answers All of Your Questions About Margaret Josephs’ Ex-Friend Laura
Plus, Melissa revealed why she’s still friends with Margaret after the Laura drama.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 cast touched down in the Emerald Isle on the April 11 episode, but the luck of the Irish soon ran out for the group when they got into a disagreement about Margaret Josephs’ former friend Laura.
During the ladies’ first lunch at their gorgeous castle accommodations in Ireland, Jennifer Aydin revealed that she and Teresa Giudice had spoken to Margaret’s childhood pal Laura before the cast got a coffee reading on the prior episode. Jennifer later claimed that she didn’t tell the psychic what was said during her chat with Laura, but she did hint that Margaret’s ex-friend had shared a lot of gossip about the group.
“That Laura sang like a bird, and I think Margaret can’t stand it that I know it,” Jennifer said in an interview on the episode, adding that Laura said “crazy things” about her onetime bestie.
After the lunch took a dramatic turn (and after Jennifer repeated a bombshell rumor to Danielle Cabral), the RHONJ ladies opened up about all things Laura-related during the RHONJ After Show. Find out what they had to say about Laura by scrolling below.
Margaret Josephs
During the aforementioned lunch, Margaret questioned whether Laura had shared any “accurate s--t” to Jennifer and Teresa.
“I mean, it’s absolutely ridiculous,” Margaret said on the After Show. “She goes to Teresa and Jennifer to try and ruin me. And these girls fall right into it. Dopes.”
Jennifer Fessler
Margaret’s close friend also had a strong reaction regarding the discussion about Laura.
“I am grossed out by Laura, who I don’t know, even reaching out to Jen and Teresa. She knew what she was doing. It was going to surface,” Jennifer Fessler said about the situation. “Not only are you attacking your ex–best friend, but you’re also taking down people [who] have never done anything to you and that you don’t know.”
Jennifer Fessler also explained the background for Laura and Margaret’s “falling-out.”
“They had a falling-out, and Marge didn’t invite her to Christmas,” she said, adding that Laura was married at the time. “Like, why would [Laura] go so postal?”
Jennifer Aydin
Jennifer defended her conversation with Laura, saying that Margaret’s ex-pal had been trying to get in touch with her “for months.”
“This woman told us that we needed to hear what she had to say. This is not us going digging. This is her coming to us,” she said. “And you know what? I was intrigued.”
The mom of five said that Margaret was “reckless” for previously confiding in Laura. She then shared why she thinks Laura and Margaret are no longer friends.
“Laura’s gone through something with her family, and she spends Christmas alone,” she explained. “And after she went through something with her family, Margaret said to her, ‘As God as my witness type [of] thing, you will never be alone on Christmas.’ And P.S.: She was alone on Christmas.”
Danielle Cabral
The Season 13 newbie understood why Margaret would have potentially confided in Laura.
“She’s not reckless… I thought she was just a random friend. She’s not reckless. Trust me when I tell you, I tell my girls everything,” Danielle said. “They’re on my stoop with a cigarette and a glass of wine ready to go. So you know there’s gotta be something — truth — behind what this girl said.”
Teresa Giudice
The RHONJ OG said she was motivated to talk to Laura because of what Margaret said about Luis “Louie” Ruelas and his exes on Season 12.
“I didn’t want to hear other stuff, but then she started telling us other stuff,” Teresa said.
Jackie Goldschneider
Jackie questioned why Jennifer and Teresa would have given Laura the time of day.
“There’s always somebody waiting to talk in your past. You don’t engage in it,” Jackie said. “You just don’t.”
She also had something to say about Jennifer and Laura’s newfound connection. “I hope that Jennifer is spilling all of her darkest secrets to Laura right now, because when Jen and Laura fall apart, Laura will start making calls and throw Jen under the bus,” Jackie added.
Dolores Catania
Margaret’s pal acknowledged that there was a lot of history between Laura and Margaret.
“I’m sure that girl was there a lot. That girl’s been there since fifth grade,” Dolores said, later questioning why Laura would say so many bad things about Margaret when their falling-out hadn’t been “so egregious.”
Melissa Gorga
During the April 11 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Melissa said that Laura repeated a “baseless rumor” about her to Jennifer. As a result, she doesn’t see any reason why the gossip should affect her friendship with Margaret.
“Because it’s untrue,” Melissa told host Andy Cohen about why she wasn’t upset that Margaret may have talked to Laura about her.
