"Hootie hoo and happy eating!"

Carla Hall's Favorite Restaurants

Carla Hall, who released a soul food cookbook last fall, has a knack for finding the best places to eat no matter where she goes. And now, the card-carrying VIP fan of Chipotle, former co-host of The Chew and Bravo's Top Chef alum has shared her 10 favorite restaurants in America, as she helped OpenTable launch its new Tastemaker list series. And yes, the list has us wanting to make restaurant reservations all around the country.

"Hootie hoo and happy eating!" she wrote.

On the West Coast, Carla loves the veggies and seafood platter at International Smoke, a San Francisco restaurant collaboration between chef Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry, the food star wife of Warriors point guard Steph Curry, and the soul food at Alta Adams, a new eatery in Los Angeles that also happens to be an import from SF.

In the Midwest, Carla loves the French restaurant Grand Cafe in Minneapolis and the Italian joint Saba in Chicago, while she flips for the Southeast Asian bites at New Orleans' Maypop, the soul food at Benne on Eagle in Asheville and the share plates at Atlanta's King + Duke in her native South. In DC, which she knows particularly well, she's sending people to Top Chef alum Kwame Onwuachi at Kith + Kin. And on the East Coast, she's obsessed with vegetarian food at Fork in Philadelphia and Nix in New York City.

Carla even added a few extra recommendations to her full list, which you can find on OpenTable. Bon appetit! (And hootie hoo to you too.)
