Tribble Reese

Tribble semi-apologizes for taking selfies while Emily was talking to him and comments on the bathroom brawl.

The whole episode starts with Alex coming over to Vawn's to chat. This, to me, is very interesting. My feelings for Africa have subsided since she chose Vawn over me, but it is fun to sit back and watch the situation play out. What is Alex's angle? She is obviously trying to wiggle herself in the situation, but if Vawn is going to let her insert herself, then I don't blame her.

Later Vawn at least tells Africa that Alex came over. This goes back to his honesty philosophy. It is somewhat up to the girl in the situation to realize what’s going on, and I don’t know if Africa is seeing the writing on the wall. I am interested to see what happens in the next episode. Will Africa have the right to get mad at Vawn if he goes home with another girl, because he was honest? She talks about respecting his honesty, but we will see what happens when push comes to shove.

Even when Emily talked to her in the store as a friend, Africa seems to already be caught under his spell. I know that we have all been there; where you defend your crush/boyfriend/girlfriend, even when your friends and family are telling you that it doesn’t seem right. I don’t know, we will see how it plays out.

Let me just say that Emily Lipman has thrown these fashion shows before and she works her BUTT off with them. I have never seen all of the behind-the-scenes work like I have in this episode, but this just shows what all it entails.

But that I have modeled in fashion shows before, and with Emily, I like to pick out my clothes. Sorry I’m not sorry. She has been known to put me in some clothes that would make most gay men uncomfortable, so I like to have a hand in what I am wearing. I love giving Emily shit about stuff, because it is so easy. She really is one of my best friends so we can have fun together, and I know how to press her buttons. . .and I take full advantage. I wouldn’t call it being "high maintenance," as she said, but more me just trying to ruffle her feathers and get a rise out of her.

Vawn has more than swag and charisma. If he unleash his true self to the world, I see him as a devoted lover, as well as a great friend and companion. However, he needs to grow up and meet that right woman who can handle his eccentric mindset.  I also see him as a very talented individual who has the potential to become vastly successful in life. Vawn needs to surround himself with mature and positive men.  I can understand why Africa likes him because he has helped her a great deal in regards to prominent confidence and performing on stage like a diva. And Vawn generally seems to care about her; minus his boyish behavior.  I am really looking forward to seeing him evolve into an extraordinary man that he is fully capable of being.

Is it just me or do Tribble and Emily have amazing chemistry?? Are you sure there's nothing there...?

Tribble, I hope you can insert yourself somewhere into this hot mess called Vawn and Africa... I'm already over it. A better story line would be you and Africa. Hasn't been done before on a reality show. I've already seen black man disrespect black woman before. I would love to see sexy blond really give it to Africa... :) #justsayin  please give me something that I'm not expecting. Until then guapo... look forward to seeing you playing a better story line.

Hello Tribble,

You ARE high maintenance, quit playing yourself.  Africa did not choose Vawn over you, Vawn went for Africa the way that Africa prefers to be approached by a man, he beat you to the punch with your damn text message, regardless of how well your intentions were and how big of a heart that you have or what kind of a good man you are (seem to be).  This is more of a lesson for you than for Africa I think you are deflecting a tad being that Africa is now involved in hell of drama with Vawn.  Nevertheless, it is because he played the "man" card and got down to getting at Africa.  You are sexy as hell, albeit, conceited and boyish about being so...  I am very interested to see what happens WITH YOU in the season.  Cross my fingers you are growing up, getting bigger and end up with someone as sweet as you seem you can be.

You go Tribble,  Africa chose Vawn and even though I think she's classy, she's missing out on a good man so keep doing you.

Hey Hot stuff!!  I wrote you on Twitter but ran out of room-  If Africa wants to try again, I say just be friends.  She's not the right woman for you- too high drama.  Nice girl and I wish her luck but she needs to get away from Vawn!!

You are very casual and you need an easy-going gal.  You'll find her!  Just stay sweet and real.

xx

Tribble knows he has swag, good looks and he can be silly at times, which I Love. He comes across as a player. But if you pay careful attention to what he says and write on FB, you can tell if the right woman captured his heart. He will be totally committed. Kingtyes

Tribble, I have to tell it like it is. You have no swag at all, and most women, especially Black women, like guys with swagger. You are the typical White boy with a boring personality that most Black women are not attracted to. Vawn is smooth and has a lot of swagger which most women like; however, he is not the kind of man that Africa should get involved with because he thinks that his sh*t don't stink and that he is God's gift to women. He is only going to hurt her in the long run.

Tribble, I think that Africa should give you a try. What's that old saying, if it doesn't work one way, try it another? I'd date you, for sure. You seem like a guy that would care about who he's seeing and actually want her to feel like she's being cared for. Total polar opposite of Yawn, I mean Vawn. I don't think there's anything wrong with a little "swirl"....

The reason Africa wasn't interested in you is because you act more like a boy than a man... You don't seem to realize how unsophisticated you are.

please !please! please !!!!! speak for yourself . Most black women who like swagger are desperately single. He is far from typical and he is a real man. I am extremely turned on by his nature. You can keep smooth,. I will take a hot upstanding gentle man any day over some "street mentality",.It is unfortunate that you don't recognize a real man when you see one.

Tribble,

I get you.  A distinct difference between you and Vawn is that you have not been socialized to dislike women. Thanks for not embracing his ideas about women and relationships.

@gloryboxx  @ShiningStarr Please, never said Tribble wasn't a real man, but it's no secret that he is corny. You can be corny and a "real man" at the same time.  Emily herself said that he was dull and that's why she wasn't attracted to him as far as being in a relationship with him. And I'm not condoning Vawn whatsoever because he is a nightmare, but let's get real, unfortunately many Black women are attracted to men like Vawn, whether they will admit it or not. If they had a choice of Vawn or Tribble, most of them would choose Vawn and they know they would. I guess you could say that's why there ARE so many desperately single women, because they keep choosing "Vawn".

Absolutely!  I'm an AA woman married to a Caucasian man.  He does not have false bravado and his character is manifested in ways that are tangible including his brilliance, altruism and commitment to me as a wonderful husband.

Character not swagger built our family, build fabulous home (s), facilitated vacations on 5 continents and has provided the protection and stability that is greatly appreciated by me.

No, I don't think that black women are interested in swagger per se, I prefer to think that they are interested in good, well adjusted men of all hues. Women, practice diversity.

You too Tribble.
