Below Deck Mediterranean Captain Sandy Yawn is a new resident of Denver, having moved from Los Angeles for her relationship with gospel singer Leah Shafer. There, the Below Deck Med boss typically lets her other half decide what they eat when they're on dates, explaining to The Feast recently why: "I’m not that person [who has to decide]: As a captain, we constantly make decisions. When I’m with someone else, I don’t want to make a decision. I don’t want to choose." And beyond all that, Leah is gluten intolerant whereas Sandy's diet is more flexible — so she's happy to adapt when it comes to restaurants.
But who makes the decisions when it comes to grocery shopping? Well, now we know that's Leah too — and when the couple hits the market together, things get pretttty spendy!
Sandy took to her Instagram Stories to share scenes from a visit the couple made to a Denver area Whole Foods. She narrates the clip, "This is what happens when you go shopping with Leah..."
In the clip, she shows exactly what the couple tossed in their cart during their shopping trip — with Leah leading the charge. A close up on the digital cash register reveals 43 items totaling $407.27!
How did they get there? Well we see some baby spinach at $1.99... plus multiple acai-based products from Sambazon at $6.49. But hey, looks like the ladies used their Amazon Prime discount... so that's something! And Sandy did collect the biggest tip ever in the Med, so...
