What Is Alex Radcliffe From Below Deck Mediterranean Doing Now?
The deckhand was in his element during Season 5. Here's what he's been up to ever since.
During the constant cast change-ups in Season 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean, one yachtie stayed consistent: Alex Radcliffe.
Actually, that's not entirely true. Alex did change positions during the season, but only slightly — and it was a promotion. In Episode 18, he became lead deckhand for the last charter after Malia White decided to reward his efforts and excellent work ethic.
"Alex, you have it and you've shown it. The crew respects you. The crew comes to you when they need a laugh. And I can count on you," Malia shared.
Alex was, of course, thrilled to receive the title. "It's f-cking awesome," he said in a confessional. "It's awesome that she's able to trust me and wants me to be her lead deckhand. Getting this role makes me feel like I can actually grow in this industry."

Who did Alex Radcliffe date on Below Deck?
During Season 5, Alex had a flirtationship with Bugsy. After she asked him to finish some toast leftover in the galley during Episode 8, he told her he’d only dig in if she’d “fall in love with me.”
Bugsy said no, which meant no bread for Alex.
“I think Bugsy has, like, some type of like, maybe a little into me? I do believe this," he shared, later saying "Love you, Bugs," before bed.
During Episode 15, the duo finally kissed on a crew night out, but that's as far as their relationship went.
"Me and Bugsy, we've seen each other after filming, just like catching up, getting coffee and stuff. I think we just kept it very good friends afterwards and just kind of stayed in touch. We were very realistic that we live in two different parts of the world, and we're gonna do our own thing," Alex said during the Season 5 reunion. "Am I still into Bugsy? Yeah, I think she's hot. I want to hang out with her, absolutely. I'm realistic. You know what I mean? I know what it is."
