These Are the ONLY Two Foods Ivanka Trump Is Willing to Eat for Breakfast

It's not clear what Ivanka Trump's presidential ambitions may or may not be in the future, but if she decides to follow in the footsteps of her father, newly inaugurated President Donald J. Trump, she'll need to change the way she feels about decision-making. And there's no better place to start than breakfast.

As Ivanka tells My Morning Routine, she tries to avoid "decision fatigue" by serving only one of two options for breakast. Every morning, she gives her kids a choice between just two things—the same two things every single day—so that the whole decision-making business doesn't get too overwhelming.

So what are the two breakfast options available to the Ivanka Trump household? Greek yogurt with berries, or "fancy oatmeal."

"If they choose oatmeal, I get out all sorts of toppings — chia seeds, berries, flaxseed, goji berries, cinnamon, walnuts, and almonds — and the kids get to 'decorate' their oatmeal," she explains in the interview.

As for that "fatigue" business? "I read once about a phenomenon called 'decision fatigue,'" Ivanka adds. "Essentially, we each have a finite supply of mental energy each day and seemingly mundane, ordinary decisions tap into that reserve."

To avoid tapping into that reserve when it comes to choosing a beverage too, she's got her morning-drink routine dialed in. It also involves only two drinks, and she opts for both every single morning: "A large glass of water with lemon and a big cup of coffee."
