Forget Tinder, lovelorn singles might want to get an invite to the Met Ball next year. As we all know by now, it was there that Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston had a little dance-off back in May just weeks before they were spotted canoodling on the rocks in Rhode Island. That date(?) came shortly after the singer split from Calvin Harris (aka Adam Wiles), her DJ boyfriend of over a year. And now, someone close to Taylor is spilling the tea about her very new relationship with the British actor.
"Taylor was hesitant to get involved so quickly after Adam," one insider told E! News. "But she she felt that Adam was not giving her what she wanted for sometime so she was ready to move on towards the tail end of their relationship anyway." The source notes that the pair "are likely gonna be an item" and noted that when they met "there was an immediate attraction."
But, that's not all. "She felt like she was a little school girl with a huge crush. She loves the fact that Tom acts like such a mature man. She loves that he is older. She feels very safe and protected with him. The attraction is very strong," the insider said, noting, "Taylor said she thinks he is the one, as odd and new as it sounds."
And, another source, this one associated with the actor, tells People that the duo definitely have some things in common. "He can't meet new people without them having preconceived ideas of him, and I'm sure Taylor feels the same way," the pal said. "It's a tightrope he's learning. He keeps more to himself now, though is generous with his time and attention to people."
All this insider goss comes just as Taylor and Tom were spotted in Nashville checking out a Selena Gomez concert. The pair was joined by Taylor's lifelong buddy, Abigail, as well as her brother, Austin and their dates, according to Vogue and eyewitness accounts on Twitter.
We feel a lot more dance-offs are in this duo's future.
