Fredrik Eklund Is Renting His Exquisite Connecticut Home for $150K: See Inside
The Million Dollar Listing New York broker shared a look inside his palatial East Coast home.
Despite his longtime status as a New Yorker, Fredrik Eklund is happily ensconced on the West Coast these days. The Million Dollar Listing New York broker moved across the country with his husband Derek Kaplan and their twins Mila and Freddy last summer, settling down in a gorgeous Beverly Hills home. Nowadays the family spend time at their gorgeous pool overlooking the city skyline and hanging out inside the home's sunken living room.
But, lest you forget, Fredrik still owns that sprawling, 5,144-square-foot home in Connecticut that he purchased for a reported $3.5 million back in 2016. Located in a ritzy town — Dustin Hoffman and Daniel Day Lewis are among the neighbors — the four-bedroom, four-bathroom manse is currently vacant, and Fredrik’s looking to solve that (and subsidize the mortgage) by renting it out from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
In a share to his Instagram account this week, he wrote, “We’ll be renting out our country home in Connecticut this summer. 90 minutes from Manhattan and available Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend asking $150,000 furnished for the season,” he wrote alongside a gallery of images depicting the stunning estate. “This classic Georgian estate was reimagined by a top NY designer & featuring … almost 10 acres of gorgeousness. With your own lake. I also built a new outdoor Swedish sauna in glass by the pool with incredible views over the treetops.”
In addition to all those amenities, the home also comes with a screening room, an infinity-edged pool and a pond complete with a dock and its own rowing boat.
But Fredrik and Derek won’t rent to their “dream house” to just anyone. “This house is really special so we’re looking for the right tenant to love it like we have. ❤️” Check out the exterior home that Fredrik shared when he originally purchased the home below!
