John Stamos Is Confused by Lori Loughlin's "Crime," But He's "Pretty Sure" About the Punishment

John Stamos played Uncle Jesse to Lori Loughlin's Aunt Becky on Full House and Fuller House, so you'd imagine the two are friendly. However, he seems to not quite grasp why Loughlin is in the trouble she's in for her role in the Varsity Blues college scandal, where it's alleged that she and husband Mossimo Giannulli engaged in fraud in order to obtain admission to the University of Southern California for their daughters. Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli.

“I gotta be careful. I want to wait until the trial happens, if it does, or whatever the result is, and then talk about it," Stamos told GQ. "I’ll tell you one thing that has been strange is: Honestly I can’t figure it out. It doesn’t make sense. I talked to her the morning everything hit. I just can’t process it still."

He does seem to think that an example is being made out of her that isn't justified.

"Whatever happened, I’m pretty sure that the punishment is not equal to the crime, if there was a crime," he told the publication.

He's decided not to say anything more now, but he did explain, "I want to wait until the trial happens, if it does, or whatever the result is, and then talk about it."

Loughlin and her husband returned to court on Tuesday, where it was ruled that she and Giannulli could maintain their representation even though the firm had repped USC in the past.

"Finally a win for Aunt Becky. Aunt Becky so needed a win," reported Vanity Fair.
