The Southern Charm New Orleans Cast's Big Easy Superlatives

As a co-anchor for News With a Twist, coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, and cast member of Southern Charm New Orleans, Tamica Lee makes sure that she is camera-ready at all times. So when the NOLA mom couldn’t find falsies to complement her TV-level glam, she decided to take matters into her own hands with a luxe lash line of her own: T.Lee Lashes. “I always say, ''f you need something then you create it,' and I felt like I needed a lash line like this,” she told The Lookbook.

After months of testing different measurements and ingredients, Tamica finally found the ideal falsies fit for her on-camera look and gave them the perfect name: “The first product of my line is called Showtime because I’m always on,” she shared.

Since launching her brand with “Showtime” back in April, Tamica has expanded T. Lee Lashes with two new members: "Black Tie," an all-out glam style for “when you want to do the most,” and her latest launch, "Brunch," which is more of an everyday lash.

Read on to learn why T.Lee lashes aren't your average falsies, plus get Tamica's best beauty tips for women on-the-go.

What sets T.Lee Lashes apart from any other falsies brand on the market?

Tamica LeeFor one, I use faux mink hair. I don’t like to use real animal hair. You can also reuse these lashes numerous times. You can shampoo them, clean them out, and reset them in the compact. The [packaging] is a powder-sized compact, so you can put them back in there and carry them in your purse. The lashes are long-wearing and beautiful — that’s why I love them. I've used mine up to 25 times at this point.

When you're not filming, what does your beauty routine look like?

My motto is, 'If you have lashes and lipstick, you're 90 percent a go.' So for me, it's a little concealer, some lip gloss or lipstick, and I don’t go anywhere without my falsies. I'm all about the eyes. Eyes are the first thing people see — it’s the window to your soul. I like to enhance my eyes.

How do you make sure your skin is camera-ready?

I’m always trying out new things. Actually, dermatologists will hate me for saying this, but my only go-to is Dove. I've tried many different products, but Dove and moisturizer are it for me. And I sleep on a silk pillowcase. Cotton tends to absorb the moisture in your skin and I think silk helps it breathe easier. I also wash my pillow cases religiously. I’m all about keeping skin clean and sleep right now.

Are there any beauty secrets that have been passed down through your family members?

So my grandmother is 93 and my mom is 68, and when you look at them you’ll be like, 'What. How?!' My grandmother and my mom always say, 'If your neck and your hands stay young, that is more than half the battle.' They have this neck massage thing they do. You know how you put moisturizer on and you massage down on your neck? No, you have to massage upward to help prevent the wrinkles in your neck because that’s the first place people can tell your age!

What is your holy-grail beauty product?

Right now I'm loving the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Perfector. It hides blemishes, any flaws, pigmentation, and it has sunscreen in it. It's a little bit heavier than a tinted moisturizer, so it evens out your complexion, but it’s not cakey and you can wear it all day. It's all you need.
