Austen Kroll Blames His “Peanut Head” for His Fussiness with His Hair

In July, Austen Kroll opened up to BravoTV.com about some of his buzzed-about fashion choices on this season of Southern Charm. He explained at the time that his skull shoes for Kathryn Dennis’ birthday party added a “great little pop” to his outfit, and his salmon pants for Olivia Flowers’ oyster roast were “perfect” for the nautical-themed event. However, in the video above, as Austen prepares for a “black-tie dinner” at Patricia Altschul’s house, he is way more concerned about his haircut than his outfit. 

“My hair is one of those things I fuss over,” he says in the clip, which is a preview of the September 8 episode of Southern Charm. “I kind of have, like, a peanut head, right? So you gotta keep some volume.” 

With that in mind, Austen seems a bit nervous when his friend Bailey comes over to cut his hair and initially appears to snip a bit more than Austen wants. Ultimately, however, he is thrilled with the result, exclaiming, “Oh, love it!” as he looks into the mirror. 

As for his wardrobe, Austen doesn’t seem too worried that he has “no tux pants” for the gathering. As he explains, “I can look sharp.”
