Patricia Altschul Had an Epic Response to Someone Criticizing Her House's Decor
The Southern Charm matriarch was not letting negative comments on her Charleston home go unnoticed.
With a stunning backyard, a luxe dining room, and yes, an incredibly fancy toilet, every inch of Patricia Altschul's Charleston home exudes opulence. Of course, as seen in the video above, the Southern Charm matriarch takes great pride in her abode, so when an Instagram commenter offered some unsolicited decorating advice, she was quick to shut them down with an epic response.
"Your house need redecorating," the commenter wrote on the photo of Patricia sitting in her living room. With her signature quick-wit, Patricia wasted no time name-dropping one of the lauded publications that has featured the house over the last several years, replying: "Tell that to Architectural Digest."
Patricia's clap backs didn't stop there. When another Instagram user chimed in to declare the "Chintz sofa went out with the hula hoop," Patricia was happy to express her disagreement. "Sorry. More popular than ever," she wrote. "Especially with millennials."
After years of making it clear on Southern Charm that no lavish party is complete without conversation-starting décor, Patricia has finally launched her own home collection, now available online. The HSN exclusive line (check it out here) features items including faux fur throws, decorative pillows, lanterns, planters, coasters, and a bar cart, among others, ranging from $29.95-$350.
