Is There Bad Blood Between Patricia Altschul & Craig Conover Over Their Home Lines?
The Southern Charm matriarch, who has a home decor collection, weighed in on potential competition with the pillow maker.
Patricia Altschul and Craig Conover both sell gorgeous pillows, but the Southern Charm matriarch, who has a home decor line with HSN, feels no sense of competition with the Sewing Down South founder.
"It's so silly. I adore Craig," Patricia said in an interview with Forbes. "When I was doing custom-made caftans that we put people’s cats and dogs on, we collaborated on a pillow. Craig’s pillows are more casual and totally different."
"Whitney [Sudler-Smith] and I went to the opening of his shop," she continued. "On reality television, they make everything into a competition, but there is no competition or bad blood."
The Patricia Altschul home collection with HSN, which first launched in October 2020, features a variety of items including caftans, pillows, beverage dispensers, and flameless candles. While Craig's "sewing lifestyle brand," Sewing Down South, launched in 2019 with pillows, hats, totes, and shirts, the company has since expanded with accessories, a kitchen line, and face masks, among other items.
Craig also teamed up with HSN on an exclusive pillow collection last year. "It’s definitely the most excited I’ve been since launching the company," Craig told BravoTV.com ahead of the June 2020 launch. "It always seemed like such a huge goal, but I definitely thought we were a couple of years away from reaching it."
