Amanda Batula Has Something to Say About All Those Hailey Bieber Comparisons
“I’m not trying to be her,” the Summer House cast member said of the look-alike comparisons to the model and television personality.
In 2020, Amanda Batula shared that people often compare her to Hailey Bieber. The Summer House cast member’s social media posts are still flooded with comments about their resemblance to this day, and when the topic came up again on a recent podcast, Amanda explained exactly how she feels about the chatter surrounding their similarities.
On the February 22 episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast, co-host Ria Ciuffo declared, “Amanda, you really do give Hailey Bieber energy. I have to say that.”
“I’ve seen you post it on your [Instagram] Story before that people say that you look like Hailey, especially your wedding photos,” she continued. “I see it. I really see it.”
“I see it too. I get it. I think we just have similar style,” Amanda responded. Referencing Bieber’s recent bob haircut, she added, “I’m not trying to be her, and I will not cut my hair short… I don’t want to be like her, we just happen to look alike and have similar style.”
In regard to the haircut idea, Ciara Miller chimed in about her own new ’do, explaining, “I cut mine… I regret it.”
As Amanda has previously shared, she and the Rhode founder have something in common beyond their similar features and style. After Bieber opened a beer bottle with her teeth on a 2018 episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Amanda declared in a 2021 Instagram Story video, “I also know how to open a bottle of beer with my teeth… Hailey Bieber is not the only one. She also wasn’t the first.”
Amanda also recently reacted to a different comparison. In a January Instagram Story photo, Amanda shared a selfie in which she was wearing Warby Parker’s Della glasses, a chic slicked-back ponytail, and a black-and-white Zara coat. “Someone told me I was giving [Jenna Lyons],” she captioned the post, referencing The Real Housewives of New York City newcomer’s signature look. “I’m so here for it.”
