Friends fans who also love Andy Cohen now have a reason to rejoice! The Watch What Happens Live host will soon join Lisa Kudrow on her HBO series, The Comeback. Andy confirmed the news on his Instagram account Thursday.
"I DO need to see THAT!! It's true - you will get a glimpse of me on THE COMEBACK in Nov on HBO. I am pinching myself," he wrote. He also he shared a photo of himself widely smiling next to Kudrow.
The sitcom follows an actress Valerie Cherish (Kudrow) as she tries to stage, as you might have guessed, a comeback. The show's second season is slated to debut on November 9.
Of course November is a big month for Andy. His next book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year, hits stores that same month.
"My new book is my reality show, in print," Andy previously shared "It's the embodiment of everyone's secret desire to eavesdrop on the table next to them at a Manhattan restaurant, or to see what happens when we cut to commercial on my show. It's my own take on Andy Warhol's Diaries, which I loved, and I hope it will wind up being a pop culture time capsule in the same way his is."
Speaking of his inspiration, Warhol, Cohen further elaborated on why he looks to the famed pop art icon as a personal hero.
"If you look at that book, it's a pop culture time capsule, for the period that his diary covered. And my book is very now. It's about the way we live in 2013 and 2014. Warhol loved New York. He loved celebrity. He loved going out. And I share those three loves with him. I'm fascinated by New York celebrity and going out on the town."
The Andy Cohen Diaries is the follow-up to his New York Times bestseller Most Talkative.
