Dolores Catania Just Shared New Details About David Principe and Their Relationship
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member opened up about their buzzy romance today.
During Season 11 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dolores Catania's inner circle had questions and expressed opinions about where things stand in her relationship with David Principe after several years together ... and no engagement ring on her finger or even living together. Heck, even a psychic had a thought on the matter.
During Part 2 of the RHONJ Season 11 reunion, Dolores had the final word on that buzzy issue.
She confirmed to host Andy Cohen that she and David are still together and still not living together. "I really feel this guy loves me. I don't know if he knows how to be in a relationship, really," she said. She noted they usually see each other once a week, around his work schedule as a doctor, adding, "I wish we saw each other more."
Dolores then shared that David has previously been married and is a dad to four kids and that she is close to his children. "So, is that why he doesn't want to get married again?" Andy wondered, to which Dolores replied, "It could be... I mean, it's been 14 years since he's been married."
As for the Porsche he gifted her this season instead of a ring, Dolores said it didn't feel like a "bait and switch" because, "David doesn't want to get engaged or married again. I don't care."
During the reunion, Andy played back a clip from a recent Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen episode during which Dolores' son Frankie Catania shared that he felt marriage is a possibility for his mom and David. "Honestly, yes. I've spent a lot of time with David, especially living in his house this summer when I was studying for the GMAT," he shared on WWHL. "And you speak to him at night, and you hear some things that nobody hears."
"That's news to me," Dolores said during the reunion.
Dolores then revealed how she would feel if a proposal took place in the near future: "I would [marry him], but I wouldn't just jump into it. I'd say, 'All right, Dave, we'll get married, but let's start living a life. I want a full weekend a month. Let's go somewhere. I want my name on this house. If I'm gonna be your wife, there's things now that I will demand.' I've had a lot of time to think [in four-and-a-half years]."
During the reunion, Dolores was joined by her ex-husband, Frank Catania, as you can see in the clip, above.
Before the reunion aired, Dolores reflected on the emotional experience. Ahead of Part 1, she wrote, "It was a rollercoaster of emotions but one thing I know is that drama is a shore thing for us Jersey girls!" And before Part 2 aired, she shared, "Tonight, the gloves are off."
