The Story of How Ariana Madix and Bobby Giancola Became Friends Is Downright Heartwarming

The #BelowDeckMed yachtie has some feelings on the future of the #PumpRules pal's relationship.

Bobby Giancola and Ariana Madix are pretty fantastic human beings on their own. Then you go and find out that these two are actually best buds IRL, and it's almost too much awesomeness to handle.

That's right. Bobby and Ariana go way back, to the tune of a nearly 20-year-long friendship. And they have the most adorable throwback photos to prove it.

Bobby and Ariana met first met in ninth grade as they prepared to start high school in Melbourne, Florida. "She was my first friend in high school. She didn't know anybody going to school. I didn't know anybody," Bobby recently told The Daily Dish. "And we became friends and stayed friends ever since."

The Below Deck Mediterranean yachtie said that he remembers watching Ariana practicing equestrian and riding her beloved horse Raven.

Now when Bobby finds himself in California, he said he's sure to hit up Ariana and her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval. "Every time I go to California, I always call them up and get together with them and sometimes I've crashed at their place," Bobby said. "They're great. They're super fun. Tom's awesome."

Bobby and Tom have even done their fair share of bonding. In addition to Bobby seeking fashion advice from the always-dapper Tom, he also loves just broing out with him. "I feel like Tom, like he's around Ariana so much that when another guy's around, he's stoked on talking about dude things and being a kid again. I'll go to his house like, 'Bro, check out this new lightsaber I got,'" Bobby gushed. "He collects all these fun and interesting things and then when I go over there, it's like show-and-tell time. It's like, 'Dude, check this out. Check this out.'"

Obviously, if Ariana and Tom ever did decide to tie the knot, that would be all the better for Bobby. However, the SURvers have famously said that they do not plan on getting married. Still, Bobby said never say never when it comes to the Vanderpump Rules couple making things official. "I don't know. Ariana, she's a very strong woman, and she stands by her beliefs. But we're all still young. You never know what can happen in 5, 10, 15 years," Bobby said as to whether or not her thinks we'll one day see Ariana walk down the aisle. "I know people that have been boyfriend and girlfriend for 15 years and then they finally get together when they're 40-something years old, and then they get married. It's a mental thing, and when both parties are ready then that's when it's right."

After all these years of knowing Ariana, Bobby said that being on Vanderpump Rules hasn't changed his good friend at all. "She likes to be at home and just hang out with her close friends and Tom and not go into these crazy scenes. I know she does enjoy it when she's there, but she likes to be a little private in a way," he said. "She's very down-to-earth. She's as real as it gets. She doesn't sugarcoat anything, which is awesome. The fact that she's so beautiful and to have that trait is really awesome."
