Ashley Darby Shares an Update on the Current House Situation with Her Ex

The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member shared new details on the home she purchased with her ex amid their divorce.

During Season 7 of The Real Housewives of PotomacAshley Darby revealed she and her ex, Michael Darby, planned to buy a new house together for Ashley to live in with their two sons, Dean and Dylan. While Ashley's castmates and loved ones expressed their concern over the situation, considering Ashley and Michael's ongoing divorce, the mom of two ultimately bought a 4-bedroom home for $2,200,000 with her ex.

“At face value, to buy a property with someone who I’m divorcing, yes, that does sound counterintuitive, just dumb,” Ashley explained in an interview during the Season 7 finale of RHOP.  “But I do feel like, financially, it’s a better decision for me."

During an appearance on the February 4 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ashley shared new information about her home situation.

On the episode, during a game of "Let's Darby Honest," host Andy Cohen asked the athleisure apparel entrepreneur several questions about her life. 

"Does Michael have a key to your home?" Andy asked, to which Ashley promptly responded, "Yes he does." 

Andy also asked if Ashley has agreed to leave Michael's name on the mortgage. "Yes," she smiled, not giving any further details about the situation.

A few more questions in, Andy asked Ashley about the penthouse apartment she used to share with her ex in Washington D.C., wondering if she ever misses that space. 

"Sometimes, yeah," Ashley admitted. "That sunrise was so beautiful — but now I have a big backyard!"

Elsehwere in the episode, Ashley shared the latest on her divorce plans, revealing that she and Michael spent some quality time together just a few days earlier. 

"Watching him with my kids and seeing how they light up when they see their dad, that kind of stuff touches me," she said of her recent outing with Michael and her two sons.  

She added: "We are no longer parallel parenting. We are officially co-parenting. That's a big deal for us, y'all. I didn't know if we would ever get here, but I appreciate, especially Gizelle [Bryant], she always said 'It'll get better. It'll get better,' and she was right."

Andy also asked her if she "want[s] to finalize the divorce" and Ashley said, "Yeah," adding, "I'm comfortable right now.
