We officially met Austen Kroll's new girlfriend, Madison LeCroy, in the Season 6 premiere of Southern Charm, and the hairstylist has already gotten some mixed reviews from the Charmers. But what we really want to know is how Madison gets along with Austen's family since they always give it to him straight — in the most adorable way possible, of course.
Austen recently told Decider his family gets along well with Madison. She even texts with his mom and is planning on doing his sister's hair for an upcoming wedding. “They think that she’s adorable, as everyone who meets Madison does, which is frustrating as hell sometimes,” Austen said. “Everyone thinks that she’s super sweet and oh my god she’s so personable, and I’m like, ‘Little do you know.'”
Austen's parents first met Madison in church in April 2018, an occasion he commemorated on Instagram last month. And yes, his parents did see that video of Austen featured in the Southern Charm Season 6 premiere. "Yes, last summer when it came out,” he confirmed to Decider.
But it sounds like Austen and Madison won't have to worry about any awkwardness while they're watching this season of Southern Charm because they probably won't be watching it together, Austen guessed. He speculated that her "first instinct is to call Patricia [Altschul] and they dissect the episode together."
In addition to Patricia, Madison has also known Naomie Olindo and Cameran Eubanks long before she started dating Austen. But not everyone in the Southern Charm crew is the biggest fan of Madison — namely Shep Rose — as we'll see this season.
"They just don't get along. People don't really go up against Shep much," Austen teased during an interview with The Daily Dish prior to the start of the new season. "A lot of people let a lot of things slide, but Madison does not. She's very like, 'You come at me, and I'll take your legs out from under you.'"
