Is Malia White Still Dating Jake the Engineer?

Malia White's love life has always been a major topic of conversation on Below Deck Mediterranean. But fans had perhaps the most burning questions about her relationship status following Season 6 when it was rumored that she was dating the Lady Michelle's engineer, Jake.

Malia later confirmed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last September that she and Jake were, in fact, dating, going on to reveal during the Below Deck Med Season 6 virtual reunion in October that she and the engineer had started seeing each other after the charter season ended. It was actually during the crew's much-talked-about time in Split that romance bloomed between Malia and Jake.

Malia White Confirms She's Dating Below Deck Med's Engineer Jake

Now, several months later, we're happy to report that Malia and Jake are still together. Malia recently shared a romantic photo of herself and Jake on Instagram that was taken earlier this spring in Miami. The couple are all smiles as they stare adoringly into each other's shades.

That pic appears to have been captured during one of Malia's days off with her crew. She previously posted a sultry solo shot of herself ready for a night out in Miami.

Malia has mostly kept her relationship with Jake off Instagram, although she did share an absolutely adorable photo of the pair running into a pelican while out and about in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in February.

It looks like Malia has once again been mixing business with pleasure, as she and Jake are back on a yacht together, according to a TikTok she re-shared on Instagram earlier this month that featured a video of her crew. In the clip, as the various departments on the yacht are introduced, we see Malia walking toward the camera as part of the deck team, and we later see Jake sitting with his fellow engineers. Below Deck Med fans will also recognize Katie Flood as part of the interior crew in the video.

Though Malia hasn't always had the best luck dating within the yachting industry, she wasn't opposed to continuing to look for love at sea following her breakup with Tom Checketts after Season 5 of Below Deck Med. "I mean, I'm open to it. I mean, I'll never say, like, 'I won't date someone on a boat again.' I think in our industry, it makes the most sense for you to date someone in the industry. So I’m not against it. I'm not saying no," Malia told Bravo Insider in August 2021. "I just think I needed time, like a little mourning period [laughs]."
