That’s right: Kyle Viljoen is engaged! The yachtie proposed to his boyfriend, Zachary, on Tuesday, November 8, in Cape Town, South Africa.

“Zachary [and] I are officially engaged and to my universe I want to thank you for loving me unconditionally, desirably and with full intent to be my forever and always,” Kyle wrote alongside photos of the proposal posted on Instagram. “We have walked a rocky but loving road, you have made my heart full and I found home in not materialistic things but in my soul you have your place!”

He continued, “Flying to South Africa on Table Mountain was the point I wanted to scream highest to say we have our place in this universe and surrounded by his and my family was a sacred energy that we could only have wished for and more!”

Kyle first introduced Zachary to the world on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in July, and later spilled more about the guy who won his heart to Bravo Insider: “I am officially in a very, very loving, supportive, charismatic, outgoing, adventurous relationship. This man, Zachary, is definitely my future husband. There’s no doubt about it.”

When you know, you know! Kyle also revealed that the two met in New York City, and before long, he “fell head over heels” for Zachary. Among the many reasons why? Zachary’s work as a physical therapist and his desire to focus on helping transgender patients, which Kyle said “won my soul.”

“This guy’s got [an] amazing heart,” Kyle added. Not only that but Zachary is also a big Bravo fan! “Oh my God, Zachary. Literally, I think I have cable just for anything Bravo-related when it comes to him,” Kyle said. “He has watched every single season of every Below Deck imaginable, every Housewives imaginable, from the first episode up until the latest. He is the biggest fan. He has the utmost respect for [Captain Sandy Yawn]. Obviously, [she’s] very relatable to our community.”

Kyle has been open about his journey with his sexuality on Below Deck Med, including the fact that he came out as gay about a year before he joined the Season 7 crew. “When it comes to the whole being so open about it and coming out, I’ve literally been out only for two years, officially, verbally, where I’ve informed my family and friends and everyone. But, I mean, I’ve been gay as long as I can remember,” Kyle said. “I needed to go through these life circumstances, these life happenings, to realize, you know what, this is who I am. And the moment I accepted it, I was completely free. But I said at that point, after lying for so long to myself, I will not lie about anything more in my life. I’m a complete open book.”
