Ciara confirmed the news in the comments section of a photo she posted on Instagram on March 31, which was first reported by Us Weekly. In response to one follower who asked if she and Paget were still together, Ciara said that they had ended their relationship. "Things happen," Ciara said of the breakup in response to another follower in the comments. "We're still on good terms and wish each other nothing but the best."

In fact, if you look at Ciara and Paget's recent Instagram activity, you'll see that they each still like and leave positive comments on the other's posts.

Ciara and Paget had been dating for a few years prior to appearing as a deckhand and first mate, respectively, in Season 1 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Paget later popped the question to Ciara in Italy in July 2020.

The two continued to travel the world, work, and work out, as evidenced by Paget's Instagram. Being in the yachting industry can also mean having to spend significant periods of time apart, which is exactly what Ciara and Paget experienced last fall. "Going to miss this one so much! Ciara has landed herself a Chief Stew role on a 58m S/Y heading to Scotland for a few months! Very proud of her," Paget wrote on Instagram in September. "Long distance relationships are not easy, if any of you have done it you will know! Ciara and I have worked apart before for over a year, working in the same industry we at least knew of the limitations of communication, being on charter, f--ked up sleeping schedules etc etc.. Luckily for us distance makes the heart grow fonder! For any of you going through long distance just remember it is all worth it in the end, being apart teaches us how to be [together]."

Then, in October, Ciara and Paget were finally back in one place as they got the chance to move in to a house in France that they had bought together at the beginning of last year. The yachties couldn't contain their excitement about the move on Instagram, with Paget captioning a photo of himself and Ciara against a backdrop of French fall foliage, "Enjoying my favorite season with my favorite person. We are both loving France and the fact that we live in the middle of nowhere! Good food, wine and the best company is all you need for a happy life #happywifehappylife."

Captain Glenn Shephard called his Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 crew mates "a great couple" during an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider in February, saying of their engagement, "I could see that coming for sure." Not only did Captain Glenn share his hopes for an invite to Ciara and Paget's wedding, but he also said having him do the honors of officiating the nuptials would be a "great idea."

Having worked with Ciara and Paget prior to Season 1 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Captain Glenn has continued to keep in touch with them, even if they may no longer be working together. "I’m really close with them. We’ve worked together for quite a long time, and we hang out, we go snowboarding together and play golf together and all kinds of stuff like that. So we go carting and all of that kind of stuff, we do," he shared. "So they’re not just work mates; they’re friends."
